Because of these core beliefs, the first step in any Solution Source implementation is the discovery of the client’s goals, processes, and requirements for the technology solution.

Solution Source facilitates a series of meetings with key project stakeholders and the business process experts in the appropriate areas. The goal of the meetings is to understand and document business processes, the related data flow, and key management decision points. Solution Source uses this information to map the configuration and functionality of the tool to the requirements of the business.

The deliverable result of the Discovery Phase of the project is a set of documents that define the goals and requirements of a successful project as well as diagrams of all defined processes. These documents must be agreed upon by Solution Source and the client to ensure that both parties are working toward the same goals as the project moves forward. User training materials are matched with these goals and processes as the implementation progresses so that upon completion of the project, the client has a full set of documentation that details the project goals, business processes, and the system interactions that map to those processes.
